Henry Lynn McCombs Jr., 64, of Altamont, Tenn. passed away Thursday, March 31, 2010.

He was of the Catholic faith and was an avid outdoorsman. He served in the Reserves with the U.S. Marine Corps and was a retired Boiler Maker and a member of the Boilermakers Union Local 454.

He was preceded in death by his stepdaughter, Michelle Zeigler Turner; son-in-law; Charlie Turner; parents, Henry L. and Mary Bishop McCombs Sr.; sister; Lou Ellen Baker.

He is survived by his sons, Justin McCombs, of Hixson, Jason McCombs; brothers, Mike “Dale” McCombs, of Sale Creek, Samuel McCombs, of Indiana, Joe “Jennie” McCombs, Paul McCombs, Mary Burchfield, Emma “Thad” Payne, all of Niles; several nieces and nephews and great-nieces and nephews, special friend; Sharon McCombs, of Hixson.

Memorial service will be 3 p.m. Saturday, April 3, 2010 in the funeral home chapel with the Rev. Carl Hunsucker officiating. Family will receive friends from 11 a.m. until time of service at the funeral home.
