UNION – Jane E. (Bostian) Trout, 74, of Union, died at 7:15 p.m. Tuesday, March 30, 2010, at her home after a long illness.

She was born Feb. 29, 1936, in Chicago to Joseph E. and Lena (Smith) Bostian.
Surviving are: a son, Scott (Deanna) Trout; a grandson, Scott C. Trout; and a granddaughter, Christina Lynn Trout, all of Dowagiac; a brother, Bruce (Bonnie) Bostian of Bristol, Ind.; a sister-in-law, Lois Bostian of Elkhart, Ind.; and a dear friend since first grade, Marla Robison, Elkhart, who kept her well supplied with books.

Jane was an avid fan of Bobby Knight, golf, basketball and football.

She was preceded in death by: a daughter, Kathy Lynne Trout (1963), a sister, Mary Lou Bostian; and a brother, Joseph E. Bostian Jr.

Jane graduated from Bristol High School and attended IUSB.

She was office manager at Foremost Enterprises and retired as controller of Bay Bridge Manufacturing in Bristol in 2005.

Jane wants it mentioned that she was very grateful for her primary care giver Scott, her family, friends and those who kept in touch by e-mail.

Jane was a member of Zion Lutheran Church in Bristol.

There will be no calling.  A memorial service for immediate family will be held at a later date.
