Jack D. Goodrich, 68, of North 13th Street, Niles died at 3:40 p.m. Tuesday, March 16, 2010 at Riveridge Manor, Niles following a brief illness.

He was born Oct. 27, 1941 in Buchanan to Royal Goodrich and Hazel Louelva Ruple. He was a lifetime area resident and provided care for many elderly people in the area. He served in the United States Army from 1959 to 1962.

He is survived by his sisters, Beverly Williams, of Buchanan, JoAnn Rotzien, of Buchanan and Linda Larrew, of South Bend; brother, Dennis Goodrich, of South Bend; and several nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his brothers, James Goodrich, who died June 21, 2000; Roger Goodrich, who died in 1999; and Don Goodrich, who died in 1984.

The family will gather privately for services at a later date. There will be no visitation.
Arrangements were made by Halbritter Funeral Home in Niles.
