Harriett “Scotti” G. Hauser, 71, of South Bend passed away at her home at 3:45 a.m. Monday, March 15, 2010.

Mrs. Hauser was born in Franklin, Ind. on Feb. 27, 1939. Harriett grew up in Crawfordsville, Ind. She graduated from Michigan State University, and spent most of her life in Niles as a loving wife, mother and teacher.

Harriett was a member of Alpha Xi Delta, Psi Iota Xi, the League of Women Voters and the First Presbyterian Church of Niles.  After retiring, she and her husband loved to travel and spent winters in Fort Pierce, Fla.

She is survived by her loving husband, Norbert; sons, Karl (Jennifer) and Peter (Perri); three grandchildren, Jordan, Taylor and Graham; brother, Richard (Nancy); and sister Nancy.

Harriett was preceded in death by children, Garth and Greta; granddaughter, MacKenna; and parents, D.C. and Louise Graham.

There will be no visitation or memorial service.
