CASSOPOLIS – Collette Mee of Mishawaka was sentenced at Cass County Circuit Court Friday to 150 days in jail and three years of probation for her third drunken driving incident.

She will receive credit for two days already served.

In November of last year Mee veered off Gumwood Road in Niles and crashed her vehicle into a swampy area. Police arrived at the scene and discovered a half-empty bottle of vodka.

Mee’s blood alcohol content level was at 0.28 percent, more than three times the legal limit.

She had already served a prison sentence in Indiana for a previous drunken driving incident.

Judge Michael Dodge credited Mee for her involvement in drug rehab programs, which allowed her to avoid a prison sentence.
