Teen rescues dog from fire

Tyler Deuel and his friends Austin Frechette and Brandon Schmitke were out riding their bikes last Thursday, March 4.

They were enjoying the weather after an early release from school.

That’s when Tyler saw smoke coming from his friend’s home.

He knew that Amanda Keown and Dominic Gant were out of town at the time.

He also knew that the family’s beloved pet,  Mommies, was inside the burning house as well.

Tyler’s quick thinking by calling 911 and running up to the back door of the burning home and calling for the confused dog saved her life as well as the garage and car in the driveway.

The home was a compete loss.

Sister Lakes Fire Department responded to 66975 Parklane around 3:30.

They were assisted by Indian Lake and Keeler fire departments.
