The Dowagiac Middle School wrestling team hosted South Haven Tuesday in a dual meet.

The Chieftains won 9 of the 12 matches.

Winning matches on the night were Tyler Wessendorf, Caleb Zimmerman, Carl Grant, Tristan Howard, David Morgan Jr., Caleb Sands, Jason Weber,Brody Froehlich and Phillip Kocsis.

“The match ups with South Haven weren’t really conducive to get everyone a match, but the ones that did get matches looked good,” Dowagiac coach Andy Crawley said.

Dowagiac returns to action on Thursday hosting St. Joe Upton to close out its home matches.
