CASSOPOLIS – Cass County Prosecutor Victor Fitz announces Allen Wayne Hershberger, 27, of 70810 Oak St., Edwardsburg pleaded guilty Monday to charges of two counts of criminal sexual conduct-first degree and two counts of criminal sexual conduct-second degree as a result of an incident which occurred on or about May 1, 2008-Jan. 15, 2010,  at 70810 Oak St. Edwardsburg.

The case was investigated by the Ontwa-Edwardsburg Police Department and the Cass County Sheriff’s Office.

Hershberger is scheduled for sentencing on April 9 at 8:30 in front of Circuit Judge Michael E. Dodge.

The minimum penalty on each count of CSC-first degree is 25 years and the maximum penalty is life or any term of years.

With regard to the CSC-second degree charges, the maximum penalty is 15 years; and mandatory AIDS/STD testing.

One count of CSC-first degree and two counts of CSC second degree were dismissed as part of a plea agreement, Fitz said.
