The Dowagiac Middle School seventh grade basketball team defeated Niles Ring Lardner 18-7.

Leela Smith and Cierra Smith, along with Angel Parker, all scored six points to lead the Chieftains to the victory.

Eighth grade
The eighth grade Orange team defeated Ring Lardner 25-20.

Brianna McCuddy led the Chieftains with eight points. Dowagiac also got seven points from Tarai Young and six points from Crieona Rodgers.

Preyshia Sims added two points.

The Black team dropped a 21-44 decision to St. Joseph, while the Orange team fell to the Bears 25-21.

Young had 10 points for the Black team, which also got eight points from Hazel Kennedy and three points from Brittany O’Brien.

Rodgers led the Orange team with 15 points. Michaela Owen. McCuddy and Sims all scored two points.
