Catherine Delores Dale, 95, of Cassopolis passed away peacefully at 12:40 a.m., Wednesday, Feb. 24, 2010 in Meadow View Estates Retirement Home, Cassopolis.
She was born Oct. 15, 1914 in Detroit, the daughter of the late Charles and Rose (Maisano) Grado, and moved to this area in 1971 from Detroit.
Catherine worked as a sewing operator in the mobile home industry. She was a member of the St. Ann Catholic Church, Cassopolis.
Catherine was preceded in death by two husbands, Joseph Brancaleon and Melbourne Eugene Dale, as well as her son, John J. Brancaleon.
She is survived by a sister, Angie Santangelo; a daughter-in-law, Joyce (Patrick) Riley; stepchildren, Linda (Norman) Lockwood, Edward (Lee Angus) Dale, Mary (Douglas) Stearns and Susan (Matthew) Rapus; six grandchildren, John (Julie) Brancaleon, Michelle (Arunas) Rumsa, Suzanne Estes, Carole (Jim) Derucki, Paul (Teena) Brancaleon and Julie (Mike) McCarthy; a stepgrandson, Steven Dale; and 14 great-grandchildren.
A funeral Mass will be held Saturday at 10 a.m. at St. Ann Catholic Church. Officiating will be her pastor, Fr. Donald G. Potts. Interment will be in Prospect Hill Cemetery, Cassopolis.
The family will receive friends Friday from 5 to 7 p.m. in the Connelly Funeral Home, with a prayer service at 7 p.m.
