The 2010 Bowl for the Cure will take place Saturday at Joey Armadillo’s Bowling Center. All money raised will benefit the southwest Michigan affiliate of the Susan G. Komen for the Cure, a foundation supporting breast cancer research.

Two shifts of three games of nine pin/no-tap bowling will take place, the first at 11 a.m. and the second at 3 p.m.

More than 250 people have already registered for the event and more than $5,000 has already been raised. Live auctions will be held between the two shifts with silent auctions going on throughout the day.

Items being auctioned off include: a Paul Hornung autographed football, a Knute Rockne speech collage, an autographed photo of Dick Butkus and Gayle Sayers, a Brian Urlacher autographed action photo, a Barry Sanders autographed photo, a Gordie Howe autographed photo, a Ron Santo autographed photo and more.
