Miss Kathy’s School of Dance’s Positively Dance troupe will present their “Flocking” fundraiser to the area.

“Flocking” is placing 25 to 50 pink flamingo yard ornaments into a friend’s front yard for a small donation, and all get to enjoy the spectacle as they drive by.

The homeowner will have a larger flamingo holding a bag at the front door asking for them to pass the flock onto another friend’s home for a small donation.

The flock will “land” onto the friend’s property during the night hours and will remain in place for approximately 24 hours, then “fly” to the next “landing site.”

If you wish to “flock” a friend, but do not want to be “flocked” in return, you may purchase insurance for the season as well.

These dancers are raising funds to purchase costumes and to cover traveling expenses for their upcoming competitions in Detroit, Kalamazoo and the national competition in Orlando this spring and summer.

Call Marleigh at (269) 591-1293 or Melody at (269) 591-2289 to begin the fun.

Positively Dance is a non-profit group of dancers who range in ages from 6 to 18 years old and enjoy performing for the community at local events yearlong.

Some events they have participated in include the Apple Festival Parade, the Decatur Car Show, libraries, schools, nursing homes, Krasl Art Fair and the Paw Paw Wine and Harvest Festival.
