Kozinski scores 13 as Eddies top Coloma

COLOMA – The host Comets were able to keep it close through one quarter Thursday night, but Edwardsburg was too much over the final three stanzas and posted a 54-27 Lakeland Conference victory.

The Eddies led just 16-13 after the first eight minutes, but outscored the Comets 18-4 in the second quarter to turn the game into a rout.

Edwardsburg (9-8, 3-3 Lakeland) held a 20-10 advantage in the second half.

Emily Kozinski led four Eddies in double digits with 13. Sarah D’Amico and Ashley Streb both finished with 11, while Mariah Murphy added 10.

Rachel Vite chipped in with nine points.

Amanda Swihart and Julie Timm both scored seven points for Coloma, which falls to 8-7 and 5-5 in the Lakeland.
