South Bend Clay deals Bucks setback

SOUTH BEND, Ind. – Visiting Buchanan found out what neighbor Niles already knew – despite its record, South Bend Clay is a pretty good basketball team.

The Colonials came into Saturday night’s contest with just a 4-13 record, but Clay handed the Bucks a 60-46 setback in boys’ basketball action.

The Colonials outscored Buchanan 33-22 in the second half to earn its fourth win of the season.

Buchanan drops to 7-6 on the year.

Donovan Campbell scored 23 points for the Colonials.

Daniel Blackwell and Bryan Kuntz scored 11 and 10 points respectively for the Bucks.

Buchanan will play host to Coloma in Lakeland action Tuesday night.
