COLOMA – The Lakeland Conference Wrestling Tournament on Saturday was supposed to be to crown Buchanan, which came into the meet as the regular season champion.
Edwardsburg had other ideas.

The Eddies need to just finish ahead of the Bucks to earn a share of the league title.

The Eddies did their part by winning the meet with 200 points. Buchanan, however, finished third with 155 points and saw its league title slip away when Coloma claimed the second spot with 174 points.

The final league standings will read Edwardsburg in first and Buchanan in second. Coloma finishes third overall with Berrien Springs and Brandywine finishing fourth and fifth respectively.

That’s the same way the Shamrocks and Bobcats finished on Saturday. Berrien Springs finished with 104 points and Brandywine 74. Cassopolis was sixth with 30 points.
