Judy R. Lorenzo, 60, of North 16th Street in Niles died at 2 a.m. Tuesday, Feb. 2, 2010 at home following an illness.

She was born Feb. 22, 1949 in White Oak, Mo. to Billy Frank and Nadine Alma (Reed) Pugh. She graduated from Niles High School and lived in Niles most of her life. Judy was previously employed at Mastic in South Bend and Suds Yer Duds in Niles.

She enjoyed reading, especially fiction, gardening in her yard and flower arranging.

Judy is survived by her daughter, Angela Lorenzo of Niles; brothers, Bobby Pugh and Billy Don Pugh, both of Niles and Scott Pugh of Reno, Nev.; sisters, Delores (Santiago) Arroyo of Puerto Rico, Candace Miller of Niles, Deborah Pugh of Los Angeles; and many nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her sister, Alice Faye Brown, who died in 2000.

Funeral services for Judy R. Lorenzo will be held at 1 p.m. Monday at Halbritter Funeral Home in Niles with the Rev. David Otto of St. Mary’s Catholic Church officiating.

Interment will be at Silverbrook Cemetery in Niles.

The family will receive relatives and friends from 2 to 4 p.m. Sunday at the funeral home.
