Jessie Ruth Gillentine, 84, of Niles died Saturday, Jan. 30, 2010 at her residence.

She was born Aug. 4, 1925 in Warren County, Tenn. She was a homemaker and a member of the Church of Christ.

Jessie was preceded in death by parents, Sam and Ella Millraney Martin Sr.; a brother, Woodrow Martin; and sisters, Willie Mae Martin and Edna Curtis.
Survivors include husband of 67 years, Leon Byrl Gillentine of Niles; sisters, Gladys Walker, Lorene Hillis, Juanita King and Martha Martin; brothers, Harold and Sam Martin Jr., all of McMinnville, Tenn.; nieces, Sally Overmyer, Jamie Nelson and Sheri Jaye Alami, all of Niles; and a nephew, David Gillentine of Rochester Hills, Mich.

A funeral service will be held at 1 p.m. Friday, Feb. 5, 2010 in the McMinnville Funeral Home Chapel with Bro. Coy Hathcock and Bro. Ray Weddington officiating. Interment will follow at Gardens of Memory.
