BRIDGMAN – The hopes of the Edwardsburg girls’ basketball team of competing for a Lakeland Conference championships were dashed on Monday night as host Bridgman upset the Eddies 37-24.

The Bees outscored the Eddies 21-10 in the second half to pull off the upset.

Brandi Gareau led the way with 11 points, while Tyler Tuszynski and Rachel Swords both added eight points.

Rachel Vite had nine points for Edwardsburg, with Mariah Murphy adding seven.

BERRIEN SPRINGS – The Eddies blanked host Berrien Springs 6-0 in the first quarter and then allowed only 14 points the remaining three quarters as they posted a 47-14 win over the Shamrocks.

Edwardsburg led 24-5 at halftime and 37-10 heading into the final quarter.

Rachel Vite led the Eddies with 17 points, while Emily Kozinski added 10. Sarah D’Amico chipped in with eight points.
