Nancy (Davis) and Gaylord Ropp Jr., of South 13th Street, Niles celebrated 50 years of marriage Friday, Jan. 29, 2010. The couple was married Jan. 29, 1960 in Buchanan.

Gaylord, now retired, worked as a tool and die maker at Bendix for 11 years and in tool and die for 15 years in Sarasota, Fla.

Nancy managed the Christmas Shoppe for 10 years in Sarasota, Fla. and is currently working for Dr. Carl Whitt in Niles and PM&R Specialists in South Bend.

The Ropps moved back to Niles 10 years ago from Sarasota to be near family.

Their children are Victor (Carey) Ropp and Christopher (Cheryl) Ropp of Niles. They also have nine grandchildren and six great-grandchildren.

A private dinner was held with their sons and wives at Prime Table.
