Richard Dean Focht, 44, died at 11:40 p.m. Thursday, Jan. 28, 2010 at home following a brief illness.
He was born March 6, 1965 in Chicago to Philip Kasper Focht and Leona Ruth Pauwen.
He graduated from Niles High School in 1983 and was a lifetime resident of Niles. He owned and operated Rick & Sons Tree Service, which he started 10 years ago. His tree service was his life.
He enjoyed hunting, fishing, riding dirt bikes and most of all, spending time with his wife and two sons. He was awaiting the arrival of his first grandbaby in June 2010.
He married on April 29, 1990 in Niles Tammy I. (Parks) Focht, who survives.
Other surviving family includes his sons, Justin Parks and Eric Parks of Niles; mother, Leona R. (Cecil) Sisk and Phillip K. (Linda) Focht; brothers, Phillip (Bonnie) Focht of South Bend and Joseph Focht of Niles; sister, Sandy Focht of Niles; and several nieces and nephews.
The family is gathering privately for services. There will be no visitation.
Arrangements were made by Halbritter Funeral Home in Niles.
