Robin’s life began on Nov. 15, 1955, in Maysville, Ky.
Robin, 54, of Dowagiac, was given the gift of life by her biological mother, Garnet Berniece Sexton.
She was adopted at birth by her loving parents Mildred and Ross Anders.
Robin was united in marriage to Ronald J. Kent on June 26, 1990, in Cassopolis.
She retired from the U.S. Postal Service.
Robin became an advocate for the needy and she fought for medical benefits, Social Security disability, veterans benefits, for anyone in need.
Robin always opened her heart and her home to anyone in need.
Her greatest wish was that if one person helped just one person, the world would be a perfect place.
Her loving family includes: her husband, Ronald J. Kent; daughter, Andrea Boyce (Daniel) Kingman II; her father, Ross (Katherine) Anders; step-daughter, Holly Kent; brothers, Darrell (Trudy) Mackey and Bill Roberts; and sisters, Doris Holton and Jerrie Kay West.
Robin passed away Tuesday, Jan. 26, 2010, at Borgess Medical Center in Kalamazoo.
She is preceded in death by: her mother, Mildred Hibbard; her step-father, Edward “Bill” Hibbard; and her brother, Clinton Sexton.
In keeping with Robin’s wishes, her family will gather with friends on Thursday, Feb. 4, from 1-6 p.m. at Dowagiac Lions Club House, 28606 Blue Bird Lane.
Yazel and Clark Chapel is serving her family.
