Marjorie A. Bass and Richard Rohl of Niles announce the engagement of their daughter, Amanda L. Rohl, to Kamran Ahmed, son of Janice Khan of  Phoenix, Ariz.

The bride-to-be is a graduate of Niles Senior High School. She is employed by Wal-Mart of Niles, Mich.

Grandparents of the bride-to-be are the late Frank E. Reed of Niles and Marjorie J. Reed of Niles, Mich.

He is employed by Vector Inc. of South Bend.

Grandparents of the prospective groom are the late Jack E. Newborn of Niles, Ill. and the late Nancy L. Newborn of Niles, Ill.

Wedding vows will be exchanged May 15, 2010 at 1 p.m. at Hope Community Church in Niles, Mich. Reception will follow at American Legion Post No. 26.
