COMSTOCK – The Dowagiac freshmen boys’ basketball team dropped a 51-44 decision to host Comstock on Tuesday night.

Cal Cox had 19 points for the Chieftains, who also got six points each from Jalen Brooks and Joey Pasternak.

The Chieftain freshmen girls’ team lost to visiting Sturgis Tuesday night 40-21.

Kristyn Turner led Dowagiac with seven points. Davaughna Huff added six.

The Dowagiac eighth grade girls’ basketball team was defeated by Lakeshore on Monday afternoon 35-20.

Crieona Rogers led the Chieftains with 12 points. Tarai Young added six points and Preyshia Sims scored two.
