BERRIEN SPRINGS – The Brandywine junior high wrestling team captured the Shamrock Middle School Wrestling Invitational on Friday night.

The Bobcats scored 343 points as they claimed three championships, earned eight second place finishes and had nine and four third and fourth place finishes respectively.

Edwardsburg was second (299), Coloma third (291), Buchanan fourth (247), Niles Ring Lardner fifth (231.5), Berrien Springs sixth (136) and Cassopolis seventh (131).
Rounding out the field were River Valley, Covert, Eau Claire and Benton Harbor Countryside.

Earning championships where Tommy Newton, Brandon Earles and Charlie Rodriguez.
Taking second were Aaron Wentz, Laurita Kenny, Joey Romanski, Brandon Shriver, Marty Ward, Jeremy Modlin, Joe Monica and Bela Tiser.

Finishing third were Trenton Lawrence, Victor Moranchel, Paul Lochmondy, Austin Coger, Kevin Wayman, Nathan Anders, Trevor Jones, Kevin Fletcher and Vincent Sallee.
Placing fourth were Arsalan Rehman, Jake Wright, Cordel Davis and Christian Shell.
