PAW PAW – Mary M. Hosner, 98, formerly of Dowagiac, passed away Monday evening, Jan. 18, 2010, at Bronson LakeView Nursing and Rehab Center in Lawton.

She was born March 22, 1911 in Chicago, Ill., the daughter of the late George and Agnes (Frano) Hamay.

She was a member of St. Mary’s Catholic Church, Paw Paw, and the Slovak Women’s in Chicago.

She enjoyed sewing, knitting, crocheting and gardening.

On Aug. 25, 1935, in Grand Rapids, she was united in marriage to Clifford Hosner, who preceded her in death on Sept. 22, 1991.

She was also preceded in death by: a daughter, Karen Hosner; three brothers, Joseph, Stephen and John Hamay; and two sisters, Anne Poulin and Martha Sobel.

Surviving are: a sister, Agnes Hadden of Otsego; nieces and nephews, Walter (Janet) Hamay, Frances Danger and Bill Poulin, all of Paw Paw; Mary Wisniewski of Ohio, Donnalee Hadden of Ann Arbor, Dene Hadden of South Haven, Dayle Hadden of Plainwell and Gary Hadden of Otsego; and numerous other nieces, nephews, great-nieces and great-nephews.

Family will receive friends Thursday, Jan. 21, from 4 to 6 p.m. at  Adams Funeral Home, Paw Paw.

Mass of Christian Burial will be Friday at, 11 a.m. at St. Mary’s Catholic Church, Paw Paw, with the Rev. Fr. Joseph Xavier celebrant.

Interment in Riverside Cemetery, Dowagiac, will follow a luncheon.

Memorial; contributions may be made to Eleanor’s Pantry or Bronson LakeView Nursing and Rehab Center Patient Activity Fund or charity of choice.
