THREE OAKS – In its first game since losing standout Jake Frazier, the Brandywine boys’ basketball team learned a little bit about itself Tuesday night.

The Bobcats learned that they can win basketball games without one of theirĀ  top players.
Brandywine (3-5) outscored host River Valley 19-5 in the first quarter and rolled to a 65-48 non-conference win .

The Bobcats never let River Valley even think it had a chance of winning the game as it roared out to a 34-15 halftime advantage and had as many points at the end of the third quarter (48) as the Mustangs would have for the entire game.

Brandywine placed four players in double figures and had five players with eight or more points.

Lance Prescott and Cody Udell each scored 14 points to lead all scorers, while Stone Hadley had 13 points and Austin Searles 10.

Mike Seminec and Trevor Harlan both had 10 points for the Mustangs.
