Mildred Emma Woollet, 88, passed away on January 13, 2010 at the home of her daughter, Bonnie Travers, in Tucson, AZ. Mildred was born February 19, 1921, in Buchanan, to the late Howard John Ferris and Hazel (Crandall) Ferris.

She graduated from Buchanan High School in 1939 and did office work in several area businesses including the Buchanan City Clerk office, Clark Equipment Company, Galien Woodworks, Attorney George Bachelor, and fifteen years for Attorney F.W. Kelley before leaving Michigan. After retiring, she and her husband lived in the Sebring, Florida area for nearly 20 years.

On June 19, 1943, in Glendora, Mich., she married Lyle Albert Woollet, who preceded her in death in 1997. She moved to Tucson in 1998. She is survived by her two daughters, Bonnie L. (Gene) Travers of Tucson, AZ and Alice M. (Bob) Ray of Niles, as well as three granddaughters, Wendy L. Sigle-Osmialowski, Donna L. Sigle and Becky L. Bell, three great-granddaughters, and one great grandson.

Funeral services will be held at Hoven Funeral Home – 414 E. Front St., Buchanan, Mich. at 11:00am on Wednesday, January 20, 2010. The family will receive friends for one hour before the service. Interment will follow in Oak Ridge Cemetery in Buchanan. Memorials may be directed to the Christian Broadcasting Network or the American Heart Association.
