Buchanan’s Joe Austin will be inducted into Hall of Fame

Current Buchanan and former Niles football coach Joe Austin will be inducted into the Michigan High School Football Coaches Association Hall of Fame.

Austin will be enshrined on Saturday, March 27 at the Hall of Fame Induction Banquet at the Four Points by Sheraton Hotel in Ann Arbor.

Joining Austin in the Class of 2010 will be Dave Larkin of Jenison, Steven Barbeau of Millington, Peter MacKenzie of Dakota, Lawrence Bellor of Ogenaw Heights, Ed Maloney of Dundee, Richard Coratti of Detroit Catholic Central, Eric Redmond of Carleton Airport, Paul Engel of Forest Hills Eastern, Al Slamer of Holt, Alan Gibbs of Battle Creek Lakeview, Tom Hoover of Allen Park and Doug Throop of Grandville.
Guest speaker for the event will be University of Michigan football coach Rich Rodriguez.

The evening will begin with a social hour before dinner and then the induction ceremonies at 8 p.m.
