Walt Klimczak, 65, of Lake City, Fla. passed away at his home at 6:50 p.m. Sunday, Jan. 3, 2010 after a brief battle with cancer.

Walt was born Sept. 10, 1944 in Heilbrenn, Germany. He then moved to Dowagiac with his family.
Walt was a simple, loving father, grandfather, great-grandfather, brother, uncle and friend. He liked to go fishing, boating and to play pool.

Survivors include his daughter, Lesa Kay Klimczak Baker of Buchanan; two granddaughters, Heather Kay Luhrson of Niles and Stephanie Marie Luhrson of Buchanan; a great-grandson, Eric Douglas White II of Buchanan; a sister, Hellen Ludwig of Niles; three brothers, Stan (Donna) Klimczak of Dowagiac, Tom (Janet) Klimczak of Dowagiac and John Klimczak of Tallahassee, Fla.; nieces and nephews; and a former wife, Karen Kay Kuball Klimczak.

Preceding Walt in death are his father, Thomas Klimczak; mother, Josephine Klimczak; brother, Joseph Klimczak; brother-in-law, Walt Ludwig; and nephew, Thomas Ludwig.
