The Dowagiac Wrestling Club opened its season at the Brandywine Novice on Jan. 3 and had a pair of first place finishers.

Collin Hassle and Wyatt Hills both won championships, while Scot Hassle, Chris Mosier, Matthew Mosier and Marcos Estrada all finished fourth.

At Constantine on Sunday, Hills took first, while Jared Checkley, Zack Checkley, Derek Collett, Lucian Parish, Garret Pillvant and Landon Turnbow all took second.

Finishing third was Nick Turnbow. Dakota Collett and Chris Mosier both placed fourth.
