Dennis Keith Knapp, 50, of Clark Street, Niles died at 4:47 p.m. Friday, Jan. 8, 2010 at his home suddenly of natural causes.

He was born June 25, 1959 in South Bend to Keith L. Knapp and Helen Miller. He was a lifetime resident of Niles.

He retired after 25 years at Leader Publications in Niles. He loved going to the movies – a real movie buff.

He is survived by his father, Keith L. Knapp of Niles; his mother, Helen Haferkamp of Niles; sisters, Judy Eazsol of Niles, Denise (Rod) Boley of Niles, Rhonda (Steve) St. Louis of White Pigeon, Dawn Haferkamp (fiance Modesto Tamayo) of Mishawaka, Kim (Joe) Stein of Grandville, Mich.; brothers, Butch Mitchell (fiancee Phyllis Wagner) of White Pigeon, David (Analyn) Knapp of Niles; and many nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Wednesday, Jan. 13, 2010 at Halbritter Funeral Home, Niles with the Rev. Michael Smith of Hope Community Church officiating.

Burial will be held at Mission Hills Memorial Gardens, Niles.

Friends may call from 6 to 8 p.m. Tuesday at Halbritter Funeral Home.
