Lady Bucks defeated by South Bend St. Joe

SOUTH BEND, Ind. – Sarah Hall and Alex Kubsch combined for 30 points to lead host South Bend St. Joseph over Buchanan Tuesday night 53-22 in a non-conference contest.

Amanda Wynn had 10 points to lead the Bucks, who also got five points from Krystal Avance.

EDWARDSBURG – Host Edwardsburg accomplished two things as it returned from the holiday break Tuesday night.

The Eddies squared their overall record at 4-4, but more importantly improved to 3-0 in the Lakeland Conference following a 50-27 pasting of Coloma.

The Comets were no match for Edwardsburg from the get-go.

The Eddies grabbed a 10-point lead (18-8) after the first eight minutes of play and rolled to the easy victory.

Coloma trailed Edwardsburg 33-11 at the intermission and 42-18 heading to the final quarter.

Ashley Streb led a balanced Eddies offense with 14 points. Rachel Vite added 11 and Emily Kozinski 10. Sarah D’Amico finished with nine points and Maria Murphy six.

Julie Timm was the only Coloma player to reach double digits as she scored 12 points.

CENTREVILLE – A big second half allowed visiting Cassopolis to pull away to a 59-49 non-conference victory over Centreville Tuesday night.

The Rangers outscored the Bulldogs 35-27 in the final 16 minutes of play for the victory.
Cassopolis led 15-13 after one period of play and 24-22 at the intermission.

The Rangers opened up a 41-31 lead heading to the final quarter.

Damonica Kelly scored a game-high 26 points to lead Cassopolis.
