GALLATIN, Tenn. – Jack Howard Roberts Sr., 82, of Gallatin, who lived in Cassopolis from 1966 until 1986, passed away Monday, Dec. 28, 2009.

Mr. Roberts was a former member of Calvary Bible Church of Dowagiac.

Funeral services were Thursday, Dec. 31, at 11 a.m. from the chapel of Alexander Funeral Home with Pastor Frank Whitaker officiating.

Burial was Friday, Jan. 1, 2010, at 1 p.m. in Leachville Cemetery in Leachville, Ark.
Visitation was Wednesday, Dec. 30, from 4 to 8 p.m. at Alexander Funeral Home.

Mr. Roberts was born Nov. 9, 1927, in Leachville, Ark., the son of the late Marshall and Zonia Frew Roberts.

Mr. Roberts was a member of Harvest Hills Baptist Church and worked for McDonald’s in Hendersonville as a maintenance man for 20 years, retiring at the age of 77.

He is survived by: his wife, Martha Roberts of Gallatin; one sister, Juanita Murphy of Leachville, Ark.; daughters, Linda Finley of Leachville, Ark., Donna Foster and her husband Alvin of Dowagiac, Judy Miller and her husband B.R. of Leachville, Ark., Debbie Holden of Leachville, Ark., Jackie Ingram and her husband Joel of Leachville, Ark., and Melissa Cole and her husband Larry of Springfield, Tenn.; step-daughter Cindy Wilson of Pullman, Mich.; sons, Jack H. Roberts Jr., of Whiteville, Tenn.; Michael Roberts of Gallatin, Tenn.; and stepson, David Wilson and his wife Laura of Zeeland, Mich.; 17 grandchildren; 28 great-grandchildren; seven great-great-grandchildren; 13 step-grandchildren; 32 step-great-grandchildren; and 18 step-great-great-grandchildren.
