Tired of making New Year’s resolutions that you don’t keep?

Still want to trim your waist and tone your body?

Get a few friends together and try Southwestern Michigan College’s highly successful Shape-Up program.

This one-credit course begins on Jan. 11 and runs through Feb. 22.

The class will meet every Monday evening from 5:30 to 7 in the Student Activity Center of the Charles O. Zollar Building on the Dowagiac campus.

Students must attend the Jan. 11 orientation to participate in the seven-week program.

Taught by Ron Gunn, SMC’s director of extreme sports program, participants receive fitness instruction, daily menus, workouts, log sheets, recipes, charts, motivational forms and several physical assessment tests. Participants also will have full membership privileges to SMC’s fitness center for the duration of the seven-week program.

This course is open to both students and community members.

Space is limited so participants are urged to sign-up early.
