Marguerite C. Buck, 84, of Cassopolis, died Tuesday, Dec. 1, 2009, at Rose Arbor Hospice, Kalamazoo, after a sudden illness.

She was born Sept. 9, 1925, in Chicago, Ill., the daughter of the late Aldon L. and Leah (Wilson) Logan Sr.

She moved to the Cassopolis area in 1943 from Chicago.

She married Otto L. Buck on March 6, 1942, in Cassopolis. Her husband preceded her in death May 14, 2006.

Marguerite is survived by: four children, David (Barbara) Buck of Jones, Victoria (Michael) Peterson and Nickole (James) Martin, both of Cassopolis, and Michael (Sharon) Buck of South Bend, Ind.

She is also survived by: 13 grandchildren; 23 great-grandchildren; and a sister, Mary (Orvel) Ricks of Marcellus.

She was preceded in death by two sisters, Leah Ball and Lois Armstrong, and a brother, Aldon Logan Jr.

Marguerite was a homemaker who loved spending time with her family and friends.
She was a member of the Church of Cassopolis.

A funeral service will be held on Friday, Dec. 4, at 4 p.m. at Connelly Funeral Home, Cassopolis.

Officiating will be her minister, Apostle Christopher Pittman.

Her family will receive friends on Friday from 2 p.m. until service time.

Cremation will follow the service. Her cremains will be interred in Chain Lake Cemetery, Calvin Township, at a later date.
