Ring Lardner teams now 6-0

The Ring Lardner eighth grade Gold and sevneth grade Blue boys’ basketball teams both improved to 6-0 Thursday afternoon.

The eighth grade squad defeated St. Joe Upton 43-36, while the seventh grade Blue posted a 41-22 victory.

Eighth grade
Doug Freeman had his second double-double in as many nights with 13 points and 10 rebounds.

Tate Brawley was solid on both ends of the floor and finished with 11 points.

Jamal Hinds did a nice job controlling the tempo of the game and finished with 10 points.

Greg Jones played his best game of the year on both ends and finished with five points and three assists, while Tate Rudlaff finished with four points, including two late free throws to seal the victory.

Matthew Miller and Bostin Hand had their best games of the year and played key minutes for the Vikings.

The Blue team returns to action on Monday with a 5:30 tip off at Berrien Springs.

Seventh grade
David Kennedy led all scorers with 10 points.

Dalton Raymond and Gabe Stokes each added eight.

The Vikings got strong games from Samuel Hill, DaQuan Voight and BrendonĀ  Meek.
The Vikings play Monday at Berrien Springs at 4:30 pm.
