CASSOPOLIS – Sheriff Joseph M. Underwood Jr. reports that on Monday, Nov. 30, at 11:03 a.m., his office responded to a personal-injury crash on M-51 South near Wells Street in Pokagon Township.

Jared Smith, 35, of Dowagiac, was northbound on M-51 when his vehicle crossed the center line and collided with a southbound vehicle driven by Dara Killarney, 23, of Dowagiac.
Killarney was transported to Lakeland hospital in Niles for injuries sustained in the crash.
Smith was not injured in the crash.

Assisting at the scene were Pokagon Township Fire Department and Southwestern Michigan Community Ambulance Service (SMCAS) of Niles.
