The Dowagiac Middle School seventh grade Black team defeated Vicksburg 36-23 Tuesday afternoon.

Thomas Walterhouse scored 14 points to lead the Chieftains, who also got nine points from Conner Howard and six points from Jordan Hagemann.

Jeremiah Guernsey added five and Tejveer Singh two.

The Orange team was defeated by the Bulldogs 49-31.

Bryce Dodd scored 16 points to pace the Chieftains.

Dontae Murphy chipped in with six points and Tyler Collins four.

Anthony Burling and Matt Smith scored three and two points respectively.
