Arrest made for Calvin meth lab

Cass County Drug Enforcement Team announces that on Tuesday, Nov. 24, a clandestine meth lab was located in the 17000 block of Calvin Hill Street in Calvin Township.

Detectives received information about suspected methamphetamine production in the area.

After conducting their investigation, CCDET investigators secured a search warrant for the property and executed it.

Detectives located evidence of multiple prior meth “cooks” and one intact lab that appeared to have been used recently. Detectives also located a firearm at the location.
A hazardous waste disposal crew was summoned to dispose of the hazardous material produced in the meth manufacturing process.

One adult male subject was arrested during a traffic stop in connection with the incident on Redfield Street near Adamsville Road.

The subject was lodged at the Cass County Jail for maintaining a meth lab near a residence, producing hazardous waste, related felony firearm charges and multiple outstanding warrants.

This matter remains under investigation.
