39-year-old identified in meth lab bust

CASSOPOLIS – David Ray Blankenship, 39, was arrested Nov. 18 in connection with the large methamphetamine lab operation discovered on Calvin Center Road on Nov. 17.

He was lodged at the Cass County Jail on the following charges: conspiracy to commit controlled substance – operating/maintaining laboratory involving methamphetamine; controlled substance – operating/maintaining laboratory involving methamphetamine; controlled substance – operating/maintaining laboratory involving hazardous waste; controlled substance – possession of methamphetamine/Ecstasy; and three counts weapons – felony firearm.

Bond for Blankenship has been set at $150,000 cash/surety.
