Santa Claus is coming to town.

Yes, Santa will be at the Edwardsburg Fire Station on M-62 to greet the children for two hours from 10 a.m. to noon on Saturday, Nov. 28. He will be giving out a Christmas stocking plus a letter from Santa to the children.

At the same time, the Uptown Improvement Association will be selling “Pig Out” sandwiches and chips, and the Edwardsburg Museum will be selling candy at the fire station. Then a Christmas tree will be lighted at 5 p.m. for everyone’s enjoyment on Edwardsburg’s Main Street at U.S. 12 and Lake Street before dark.

This is a second annual event for the whole community. There will be a recreational bonfire to sit around while members of the Presbyterian Church choir will be singing Christmas carols. The church will serve hot drinks and cookies.

“Everyone come out,” said Edwardsburg Village Trustee Nancy Stoner at the village council meeting Monday night.
