Donna Lee Sorenson, 75, of M-62 South, Edwardsburg, died at 6:30 a.m. Sunday, Nov. 15, 2009 at home after an illness.

She was born Aug. 29, 1934 in Elkhart. She lived most of her life in the Michiana area. She was divorced.

Donna did woodworking and line work for the R.V. industry, retiring from Gravel of Elkhart.

She was a true friend and loving. She enjoyed doing rehab for animals to help them live longer, making her known as the “Animal Lady.”

Survivors are two caregivers, Barb Silveus and her family, of Edwardsburg, Jennifer Robinson, of Cassopolis; and two stepbrothers, Michael George Horne, of Elkhart, and Larry Horne.

Funeral services will be held at 5 p.m. Nov. 27, 2009 at Paul E. Mayhew Funeral Home, Edwardsburg, with the Rev. Bob Renner officiating.

Cremation has taken place with the burial of cremains at Poe Cemetery, Newburg Township, Cass County.
