HAMILTON, Ohio – Jerry Durren, 79, of Middletown, Ohio, passed away at Hillandale Health Care, Hamilton, Ohio, on Saturday, Nov. 14, 2009, at 2:45 p.m.
He was born in Dowagiac, on July 20, 1930, the son of March and Marjorie (Paul) Durren.
Jerry was a veteran of the Korean Conflict with the U.S. Air Force from 1948-1952.
He was employed as a machinist for Boeing in Portland, Ore., for 20 years, retiring in 1983.
On June 20, 1953, in Benton Harbor, he married Joan Bravender.
He is survived by: his wife, Joan Durren of Middletown, Ohio; four children, Randy Durren of Roxboro, N.C., Jeffrey Durren of Dowagiac, Jeri Ann Durren of Middletown and David Durren of Newport News, Va.; two brothers, Jon (Jane) Durren of Grand Rapids and Gene (Joan) Durren of St. Joseph; eight grandchildren, Carrie, Joshua, Jaime, Jason, Jennifer, Benjamin, Jacob and Joelle; and five great-grandchildren, Alyciana, Josselyn, Tony, Janelle, and Adriana.
He was preceded in death by his parents and one brother, Lee Durren.
Private funeral services will be held at the convenience of the family.
