Several local residents were sentenced recently in Cass County Circuit Court:
• John Kindig, 32, 18056 Marcellus Highway, Marcellus, received two years probation plus 120 days jail for possession of methamphetamine and a concurrent 90 days for delivery and manufacture of marijuana and 53 days for possession of marijuana June 17.

• Brandon Smith, 19, 420 East Railroad St., Apt. 4, Dowagiac, got two years probation and credit for 60 days served for delivery and manufacturing of marijuana Sept. 1 in Dowagiac. He must pay $1,168.

• Jared Johnson, 19, 400 South St., Lot 27, Marcellus, received two years probation plus 120 days jail for larceny in a building on June 3. He stole pills and cash from his grandmother’s house in Marcellus. He previously stole some liquor from a golf course clubhouse. He must pay $1,323.

• Melvin Aguilar, 55, Houston, Texas, was ordered to pay $31,000 in child support for his son who is now 18 years old, and was put on three years probation plus 90 days jail. He must pay an extradition cost of $933 and other costs of $1,356.
