ST. JOSEPH – Ann Kennedy, 81, of Coloma, passed away on Sunday, Nov. 1, 2009, at Caretel Inns of Lakeland.

Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 11 a.m. Thursday, Nov. 5, at St. Johns Catholic Church, 600 Columbus, Benton Harbor, with Fr. William J. Jacobs officiating.
Burial will follow at North Shore Memory Gardens.

Friends may call from 4 until 7 p.m., with a rosary recited at 6:30 p.m. on Wednesday, Nov. 4, at Starks and Menchinger Family Funeral Home, 2650 Niles Rd., St. Joseph.
Memorials may be made to Michigan Parkinson’s Association or St. John Catholic Church.

Ann was born Sept. 21, 1928, in Riverside, to Frank and Josephine (Marsala) Sineni.
She graduated from Watervliet High School and received her bachelor’s degree from Western Michigan University and her master’s degree from Michigan State University.
On October 6, 1956, she married Donald Kennedy in Benton Harbor.

Ann was a teacher and principal in the Benton Harbor Area School District for 35 years.
She enjoyed being with family and friends, traveling and shopping.

Ann is survived by: her daughter, Kelly (Ron) Knapp of Dowagiac; two granddaughters, Erica and Jessica Knapp; two sisters, Nancy Sineni and Rose Ambler of Royalton; two brothers, Paul Sineni of Sister Lakes and Tony Sineni of Riverside.

Ann was preceded in death by her parents, husband Donald and three brothers Sam, Joe and Fred Sineni.
