Cox nets 12 as Holy Cross wins inaugural contest

NOTRE DAME, Ind. – Former Niles standout Baysia Cox scored 12 points as Holy Cross won its very first women’s basketball game 68-56 over Grace College Wednesday night.

Cox was 5-of-9 from the floor and 1-of-4 from the free throw line with seven rebounds.
Holy Cross also got 12 points from Brittany Davis and 11 points from Tanesha Vanardo.
Kiera Gray scored a game-high 17 points for Grace.

Holy Cross and Grace were knotted at 25-25 at the intermission, however it outscored the visitors 43-31 in the second half to earn the victory.
