BATTLE CREEK – The Niles varsity volleyball team was swept by host Battle Creek Lakeview Wednesday night in a Big 16 Conference non-divisional match.

Lakevew defeated the Lady Vikings 26-24, 25-22 and 25-15.

Niles will return to the court on Wednesday, Oct. 28 when it hosts Kalamazoo Central in its final regular season match of the year.

EDWARDSBURG – The host Edwardsburg Lady Eddies edged Berrien Springs 3-2 in a Lakeland Conference volleyball thriller Wednesday night.

The Lady Eddies defeated the Lady Shamrocks 15-25, 29-27, 25-19, 20-25 and 15-11.

The Lady Eddies are now 18-13-2 overall and 5-1 in conference play.

Edwardsburg will play in the St. Joseph Invitational on Saturday.
