Bernard W. Parsons, 84, died July 28, 2009 at his home following an illness.

He was born Aug. 19, 1924 and was a charter member of the local VFW post.

There will be a graveside memorial service at 10 a.m. Saturday, Oct. 24, 2009 in Adamsville, Cemetery, with rites given by the United States Navy Honor Guard and the local VFW and American Legion.

Paul E. Mayhew Funeral Home of Edwardsburg is in charge of arrangements.
