Catherine’s life began on April 4, 1964, in Dowagiac, the daughter of Dale and Shirley (Hauck) Fritz.
She was a 1982 high honors graduate of Dowagiac Union High School.

She was united in marriage to Scott Lamb on June 29, 1985, at Silver Creek United Methodist Church.
Cathy, 45, for more than 16 years owned Cats Day Care, where she touched so many lives.

Cathy enjoyed life.

She was a Girl Scout leader for both of her daughters.

She also was a 4-H leader for cats and photography.

Cathy was also a photographer and took wedding and senior pictures.

She was a faithful member of Pokagon United Methodist Church.

Her greatest joy was her family, her husband Scott and her daughters, Brooke and Danielle Lamb, both of Dowagiac.

Also surviving are: her father, Dale Fritz of Fountain; her brothers, Jeff, Kenny and Gary; her sister, Mary Ann; uncle Kenny (Marcia) Reed of Dowagiac; and many other relatives.

Cathy, 45, passed away Thursday, Oct. 7, 2009, at Lakeland Continuing Care in St. Joseph.

She is preceded in death by her mother, Shirley Fritz.

Her family will gather for a graveside service at 3 p.m. on Friday, Oct. 9, at Riverside Cemetery led by Pastor Patty Hass.

She will be laid to rest at Riverside Cemetery.

Memorial contributions in Cathy’s name may be directed to Dowagiac Credit Union Memorial Fund for her daughters.
