BUCHANAN – Gayle Skaggs, 78, of Lake Street, Niles, died of natural causes at 4:43 p.m. Monday, Oct. 5, 2009, at Lakeland Community Hospital, Niles.

A secretary, she was born March 29, 1931, in Dowagiac and lived here most of her life.
Her parents, Harry and Leora Otwell, preceded her in death.

Surviving Gayle are: three sons, John (Sharon) Baker, Ricky (Sally) Baker and Marty (Janet) Baker;  a daughter, Sandy (Gary) Cusick; a brother, Ward Otwell; two sisters, Bonnie Matznick and Patricia Hoot; seven grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren.
No services will be held. Cremation has taken place.
